Job description
This full-time Cumming position works Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The phlebotomist collects specimens for laboratory testing, verifies written and electronic orders, records patient and billing information, labels and processes samples and prepares them for transport. Routine non-patient duties include maintaining logs, inventory, sanitation, filing, email and telephone coverage. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, keyboard and data-entry skills and three years of phlebotomy experience covering pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. Medical-assistant or paramedic training and phlebotomy certification are preferred. The posting also requires flexibility for occasional weekends, holidays, on-call duty and overtime. Starting pay is $21.70 or more per hour, and full-time benefits may include health coverage, paid time off and retirement matching.
