Phlebotomist II

This full-time Alpharetta role collects patient specimens and prepares them for laboratory transport. Duties include verifying orders, confirming patient identification, entering billing information, labeling and centrifuging specimens, maintaining collection and temperature logs, stocking supplies and sanitizing work areas. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., although the posting requires flexibility for weekends, holidays, on-call work and overtime when staffing needs change. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, keyboard and data-entry ability and three years of phlebotomy experience that includes pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. Medical-assistant or paramedic training and phlebotomy certification are preferred. Starting pay is $22.36 or more per hour, with eligibility for benefits based on employment status.
