These Terms of Use govern your use of northatlantastar.com and its related services. North Atlanta Star is operated by Zman Mekomi LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. In these terms, “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Zman Mekomi LLC.

Please read these terms before using the site. By using our services, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. Purchases and certain features may require your separate acceptance of additional terms.

1. Our content and permitted use

Articles, photographs, illustrations, cartoons, audio, graphics, logos and other materials on this site are owned by Zman Mekomi LLC or their respective creators and rights holders, or are used under a license or another lawful basis. Applicable copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws protect these materials.

You may read our content, share links to our pages and use the sharing features we provide. You may also quote or otherwise use content where permitted by fair use or other applicable law. Attribution alone does not replace permission when permission is required.

Except where authorized by law or a separate license, you may not reproduce full articles, republish photographs or illustrations, redistribute our audio, or commercially reuse our content without written permission. For permissions and licensing inquiries, contact info@northatlantastar.com.

2. Responsible use of the site

You agree not to use the site to submit unlawful, threatening, harassing, fraudulent or infringing material; impersonate another person or business; submit false ownership claims; distribute spam or malicious software; or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems or private information.

You must not disrupt the site, bypass access restrictions, manipulate advertising or engagement statistics, or use automated tools in a way that places an unreasonable load on our services. Automated access must respect applicable access controls and any permissions we provide.

3. Accounts and access

If you create an account, provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. Notify us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, nonpayment or violations of these terms. Any action involving a paid service remains subject to the applicable purchase terms and your legal rights.

4. Submissions and contributions

You retain ownership of materials you submit. When you submit content specifically for publication, including photographs, business descriptions, events, jobs or comments, you grant us a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to review, edit, format, publish, display and distribute that material in connection with North Atlanta Star and its promotion. This includes our website, newsletters, audio editions and social channels, as relevant to the submission.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for the intended use, including permission to share any personal information or images you provide. A separate written agreement may establish different terms for commissioned work or other contributions.

We may decline, edit or remove submissions. Submission does not guarantee publication, payment or a particular publication date. This publication license does not apply to private account information or ordinary customer-support correspondence.

If you wish to share information confidentially with the newsroom, request and obtain an agreement before providing it. Sending material does not by itself establish a confidential relationship.

5. Business listings, jobs and events

Directory listings, job postings and event information may come from businesses, public sources, third-party feeds or reader submissions. Details can change. Confirm important information directly with the business, employer or organizer before applying, paying, traveling or making other arrangements.

A “Verified” label refers only to the checks described for that listing or feature. It does not guarantee licensing, insurance, qualifications, safety or service quality. “Featured” and “Partner” labels may reflect promotional placement or a commercial relationship; they are not independent quality ratings.

Anyone claiming or updating a business listing must be authorized to act for that business. We may request verification and reject misleading or unauthorized changes.

Unless we expressly agree otherwise, we are not a party to transactions between readers and listed businesses, employers, event organizers or service providers.

6. Memberships and reader support

The price, billing frequency and benefits of a paid membership or reader-support option are those presented when you sign up. A recurring plan renews at the disclosed interval until canceled, subject to the terms accepted at checkout and applicable law.

You may cancel recurring payments using the subscription-management method provided with your purchase. If you cannot locate or use it, contact info@northatlantastar.com for assistance. Cancellation stops future renewals; any remaining access and refund eligibility follow the terms disclosed at purchase and applicable law. Unsubscribing from a newsletter does not cancel a paid membership.

Ad-removal benefits may require you to be signed in and apply only to the placements described in the offer. They do not necessarily remove third-party branding within embedded content or disable analytics and essential site functions.

Reader-support payments support our publishing business and are not represented as tax-deductible charitable donations. We will provide notice of material changes to recurring prices or benefits and obtain consent where required.

7. Advertising, sponsorships and paid services

Advertising campaigns, sponsorships, promoted listings and other paid business services are governed by the package details and any order, checkout terms or written agreement accepted for that purchase. Those specific terms control if they conflict with these general terms on the same subject.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, we do not guarantee a particular number of impressions, clicks, inquiries, bookings or sales. Audience figures and campaign reports are measurements or estimates and do not guarantee future performance.

Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their claims, offers, links and supplied materials. We may reject or remove advertising that is misleading, unlawful or inconsistent with our publication standards.

Paid placements and material commercial relationships should be identified where relevant. Purchasing advertising does not confer control over independent newsroom decisions or guarantee favorable editorial coverage.

8. Affiliate links and third-party services

We may earn commissions when readers use affiliate links, including travel and booking links. Relevant disclosures accompany these features or content. An affiliate relationship does not make us the seller or provider of the linked service.

External websites, payment services, booking platforms, videos, maps and other third-party features have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their availability, content or fulfillment of purchases. Questions about an external purchase should be directed to the seller or service provider.

9. Accuracy, updates and automated features

We aim to publish accurate, useful information, but errors and delays can occur. Articles reflect information available at publication or their stated update time. Older material may remain accessible as part of our archives.

Live scores, sports schedules, news feeds, job listings and other changing information may rely on third-party data or automated processing. Updates may be delayed, incomplete or incorrect. Confirm time-sensitive details with the relevant official source.

Some features may use automated or AI-assisted tools, including audio narration, summaries and data processing. These features can introduce errors in wording, pronunciation or interpretation. Contact the newsroom about a suspected factual error at editor@northatlantastar.com.

11. Service availability and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the site and its general information features are provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or noninfringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every feature will always be error-free or available.

To the extent permitted by law, Zman Mekomi LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of the site, including lost profits or business opportunities.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits nonwaivable consumer rights, or removes obligations we expressly accept under a paid-service agreement.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our services change. Updated terms will appear on this page with a revised date and apply prospectively. We will provide additional notice or request acceptance when required by law. Changes will not retroactively alter an existing purchase agreement without an appropriate legal basis or your agreement.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia and applicable United States federal law, without overriding mandatory protections that apply where you live. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
