With Gwinnett Since Day One, Nick Dixon Earns League’s Top Clubhouse Honor

Gwinnett Stripers clubhouse manager Nick Dixon has earned the 2026 International League Home Clubhouse Attendant of the Year, marking a franchise first. His 17 years with the team reflect his steady support behind the scenes.

Since Gwinnett’s first baseball season in 2009, Nick Dixon has helped keep the team running behind the scenes, managing the home clubhouse and handling team travel and equipment transport on the road.

Now the Stripers’ home clubhouse manager has earned a first for the franchise. Minor League Baseball named Dixon the 2026 International League Home Clubhouse Attendant of the Year on Oct. 6.

Dixon completed his 17th season with Gwinnett this year, but his connection to the Braves’ Triple-A club reaches back further. He served as visiting clubhouse manager for the Richmond Braves from 1998 through 2008 before moving with the team to Georgia.

A Spokane, Washington, native, Dixon began his baseball career with the Spokane Indians in 1994. His work also takes him beyond Gwinnett: he assists the Atlanta Braves during spring training each year and served on the clubhouse staff for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game at Truist Park.

In accepting the award, Dixon credited the people who have supported him through baseball’s long seasons.

“Receiving this award is an incredible honor, but I couldn’t have achieved it without my family and the team behind me,” he said.

He thanked his wife, Teresa, and their children, Jordan, Myah and Lilia, along with the staff members who have worked beside him throughout his time in Gwinnett.

Stripers General Manager Joe Harrington described Dixon as a cornerstone of the organization since its first day, recognizing nearly two decades of work supporting the Braves’ Triple-A players, coaches and staff.

For someone whose job centers on helping others take the field, the award puts Dixon’s own contribution in the spotlight.

Keep it. Pass it on.
