Phlebotomist II

This full-time phlebotomy opening is based at 1400 Northside Forsyth Drive in Cumming. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. Responsibilities include collecting specimens, confirming test orders and patient identification, entering billing information, labeling and processing samples, preparing shipments and maintaining supplies, logs and sanitation standards. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, data-entry ability and three years of phlebotomy experience that includes pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. Medical-assistant or paramedic training and phlebotomy certification are preferred. The worker must also be available for occasional weekends, holidays, on-call assignments and overtime. Starting pay is $21.70 or more per hour, with benefits available according to employment status.
