Job description
ANDRITZ is hiring an electrical and controls engineer for its Alpharetta automation and digitalization operation. The engineer will assess industrial facilities, prepare preliminary designs and estimates, and develop medium- and low-voltage power, motor-control, grounding, instrumentation and control-system solutions. Assignments may include DCS and PLC/HMI programming, protection settings, tender packages, testing, commissioning and mill troubleshooting. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical engineering or a similar discipline and at least five years of industrial engineering experience. Practical knowledge of North American standards and authorization to work in the United States are required. Pulp-and-paper experience, Foxboro DCS skills and eligibility for Professional Engineer registration are preferred. The position is office-based and normally requires 5% to 20% domestic and international travel. No salary range is disclosed.
