Job description
ANDRITZ is hiring a project engineer in Alpharetta to support white-liquor-plant equipment and service projects. The engineer will perform lime-kiln diagnostics, inspections, alignments and troubleshooting, develop upgrades with customers and manage the technical and commercial sides of assigned projects. Work includes schedules, budgets, design coordination, subcontractor negotiations, delivery milestones, status reporting and occasional leadership of field crews during shutdowns. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering, an equivalent credential, or at least five years of relevant experience in equipment, maintenance, project execution, product management or mill operations. Lime-kiln or recausticizing knowledge and AutoCAD experience are preferred. The role combines office work with frequent visits to paper mills and manufacturing facilities. Travel within the United States and Canada is expected 25% to 50% of the time.
