Forsyth County’s Public Facilities department is hiring a full-time electrician to maintain electrical systems in county-owned buildings and facilities. The job involves troubleshooting with testing equipment, repairing wiring, outlets, switches, breakers and sensors, reading blueprints, performing preventive maintenance and checking work for code and safety compliance. The electrician also estimates labor and materials, responds to work orders, trains coworkers and may answer after-hours or emergency calls. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, at least four years of electrical or electronic systems experience or training, and a valid driver’s license. The annual salary is $49,080.
