Adults can receive a seasonal flu vaccination without leaving their vehicles today at the Woodstock Health Center.

The Cherokee County Health Department’s drive-through clinic runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at 7545 North Main Street, Suite 100, in Woodstock. It is open to anyone age 18 or older.

How the clinic works

Drivers can remain in their vehicles while health workers complete the vaccination process. The drive-up format is intended to make the shot available without a conventional clinic appointment.

The Woodstock event is the final drive-through flu clinic on the North Georgia Health District’s announced fall schedule. Prices begin at $25 for a standard flu vaccination and can vary by vaccine and insurance coverage.

Georgia sees an early rise in respiratory illness

The clinic arrives as Georgia health officials track an earlier-than-usual increase in respiratory illness. Flu activity began rising during September and October following a severe 2025-26 season.

Vaccination cannot prevent every infection, but it can reduce the likelihood of severe illness and hospitalization. Protection also takes time to develop, making an October vaccination useful before the busiest part of the winter flu season.

The Woodstock clinic schedule remains in effect through 2 p.m. today.

Keep it. Pass it on.
