Longtime Alpharetta Boutique Expands to Medley in Johns Creek
Moop’s Boutique, a women’s fashion store rooted in Alpharetta, is opening a new location in Johns Creek’s Medley development, expanding its presence in North Fulton.

Major local stories and useful updates, once a week.
A women’s fashion boutique with nearly two decades of history in downtown Alpharetta is preparing to add a Johns Creek location.
Moop’s Boutique plans to open Oct. 29 at Medley, the new mixed-use district at Johns Creek Parkway and McGinnis Ferry Road. The approximately 990-square-foot store will carry the brand’s collection of European-inspired clothing and accessories.
Owner Carolyn Gordon has described the boutique’s style as both “quirky and preppy,” with pieces intended to feel polished without becoming overly formal.

The Johns Creek store will build on relationships Moop’s has developed during about 20 years in Alpharetta. It also gives Medley an established North Fulton retailer alongside national names such as Sephora, Warby Parker and High Country Outfitters.
That local connection is an important part of the development’s retail mix. Moop’s will join 13 Hub Lane, Burdlife, Hollow Oak and The Commodore among the smaller fashion and lifestyle businesses planned for the district.
Medley is scheduled to open to the public Thursday, Oct. 29, following a 10 a.m. ribbon cutting in its central plaza. The opening-week guide includes three days of events beginning with a ticketed preview Oct. 28 and concluding with a Halloween celebration Oct. 30.
The 43-acre development combines shopping and dining with apartments, townhomes, offices and gathering spaces. That year-round population could give Moop’s a different customer base from the visitors and seasonal foot traffic associated with a traditional downtown storefront.
For Johns Creek, the store adds a locally rooted fashion business to a retail scene that has historically been concentrated in conventional shopping centers. For Moop’s, it represents a chance to carry an established Alpharetta brand into the city’s emerging Town Center.
