Job description
The 911 Operations Manager oversees day-to-day work in Alpharetta’s emergency communications center. Responsibilities include staffing and schedules, employee supervision, operational reports, policy compliance, training, accreditation work and communications-technology projects. The manager also coordinates with police, fire and other partners and must be prepared to address problems in a round-the-clock public-safety operation. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, four years of public-safety communications or emergency-dispatch experience and two years in a supervisory or management role. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and hold Georgia POST Communications Officer, GCIC Terminal Operator and Communications Training Officer credentials, along with a valid Georgia driver’s license. College education and industry credentials are preferred. This is a specialized full-time opening with an annual salary of $80,755.
