Job description
Siemens Mobility is recruiting a first-shift assembly technician for rail-traction components in Alpharetta. The employee will interpret drawings, diagrams, work orders and bills of materials; assemble and fasten parts with hand and power tools; prepare components by drilling, tapping or countersinking; strip and crimp wires; wire panels and cabinets; and inspect or test finished work. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, electromechanical assembly and wiring experience, and the ability to read schematic drawings. The position requires safe use of production equipment and lifting up to 35 pounds in a non-climate-controlled facility. Siemens lists $20 an hour and a $1,000 sign-on bonus payable after 180 days, subject to taxes. Employer sponsorship is not available.
