Material Handler (2nd shift)- Rail Traction Components

Siemens Mobility is hiring a second-shift material handler for its Alpharetta rail-components operation. The employee will receive, move, store, track and package raw materials and finished goods, use RF scanners, complete computer records, conduct cycle counts and operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and order pickers. The regular shift runs from 5:30 p.m. to 4 a.m.; the first two to three months of training are scheduled for 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, intermediate computer skills and familiarity with inventory software; SAP experience is a plus. The job requires frequent movement and lifting up to 35 pounds. Siemens lists $21 an hour and a $1,000 sign-on bonus payable after 180 days, subject to taxes. Employer sponsorship is not available.
