Saturday events remain on as sunshine replaces storm worries

Saturday’s outdoor events in North Atlanta will go on as expected with sunny weather and highs near 91 to 92 degrees. The Peachtree Corners festival, Duluth’s K-POP event, Cumming’s car show, and Suwanee-oke offer a range of activities for all ages.

North Atlanta’s major Saturday events remain scheduled, with no weather cancellations posted Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service expects sunshine and a high near 92 in Duluth and eastern Gwinnett. Roswell and North Fulton should reach about 91, with northwest winds occasionally gusting to 15 mph.

The dry forecast is welcome news after Friday’s storm concerns, but midday heat remains the chief caution. Water, sunscreen and breaks in the shade will be important at festivals, markets and other outdoor events.

Peachtree Corners festival opens at noon

The free Peachtree Corners International and Cultural Festival runs from noon to 10 p.m. at the Town Green, 5140 Town Center Blvd.

The program includes international music and dance, food, artisan vendors, interactive exhibits and family activities. The city’s noon opening time should take precedence over a conflicting 2 p.m. time displayed on a vendor platform.

Free parking is available in Town Center lots and the parking deck. For a large crowd, the city recommends overflow parking at 3720 Davinci Court, 3715 Davinci Court and 5051 Peachtree Corners Circle. Visitors will cross Peachtree Corners Circle and follow a marked path to the green.

K-pop tickets remain available through 7 p.m.

K-POP MINICON ATL is still selling same-day passes for its convention and mini concert at Gas South Convention Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.

The event runs from noon to 11 p.m., although individual tickets carry a 1 p.m. admission time. The program includes panels, workshops, contests, vendors and a concert featuring GSOUL and Gun Boi Kaz.

Available options Saturday morning included a convention-only pass for $37.52 with fees, a convention-and-concert pass for $53.46, an upgraded-seat package for $74.72 and a VIP package for $212.87. A $16.27 children’s pass is available only as an add-on and does not include the concert.

Online sales close at 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are nonrefundable and sold first-come, first-served. Drivers should use Deck 1 or Deck 2; Gas South District is cashless for parking and concessions.

Cumming adds a midday car show

Cumming City Center has events spanning nearly the full day at 423 Canton Road.

The Cumming Farmers Market runs from 7 to 11 a.m. in the Vision Parkway parking lot.

From noon to 3 p.m., TORQ: Summer 2026 will bring curated performance, luxury, JDM, European, domestic and custom vehicles to the City Center. General entry is free and does not require a ticket. An optional $12 supporter ticket includes a TORQ lanyard and limited-edition merchandise, with remaining proceeds promised to a nonprofit after expenses.

At 8 p.m., Hardwired closes the day with a free Metallica tribute concert at the Lou Sobh Amphitheater. Parking is also free.

Concertgoers may bring chairs, blankets and leashed dogs. Coolers, outside food and alcohol, cans, glass bottles and tents are prohibited.

Suwanee hands the microphone to the crowd

Suwanee-oke remains scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. at Town Center Park, 330 Town Center Ave.

Local singers can perform with a live band instead of recorded karaoke tracks. The city event is free, open to all ages and includes food vendors. Anyone hoping to sing should arrive early for the on-site signup process; parking near Town Center is likely to become busiest close to the 6 p.m. start.
