Saathvik Aahar Opens in Johns Creek With a Fully Vegetarian Indian Menu

Saathvik Aahar has launched in Johns Creek with a fully vegetarian Indian menu including South Indian, North Indian, Gujarati, and vegan dishes. Unique Swaminarayan-style options without onion or garlic are available, broadening dining choices for local vegetarians and those seeking specialty cuisine.

Johns Creek has a new Indian restaurant built around a narrower promise than most: everything on the menu is vegetarian.

Saathvik Aahar held its grand opening Friday, Aug. 14, at 5805 State Bridge Road, Suite R, adding a new option for diners looking for meat-free Indian food in the Johns Creek and Alpharetta area.

The restaurant serves a broad mix of South Indian, North Indian and Gujarati dishes, along with Jain and vegan selections. Its menu includes dosas, curries, rotis, rice dishes, breakfast items, snacks, salads and desserts.

One of its more distinctive features is a selection of Swaminarayan-style dishes prepared without onion or garlic, an important option for some Hindu diners and one that is still relatively uncommon on suburban restaurant menus. Jain and vegan choices are also being emphasized rather than treated as occasional substitutions.

Kompalli has more than 25 years of experience in Indian cooking and has operated in the Atlanta market for more than 15 years.

The restaurant also arrived with its basic operating approvals already in place. Saathvik Aahar received a score of 100 on its July 20 Fulton County health inspection before the grand opening.

Its Aug. 14 launch followed a soft-opening period and several preview events during the summer, giving the kitchen time to begin serving customers before the formal debut.
