Job description
This first-shift Siemens Mobility technician builds cable kits and wire harnesses for rail-traction equipment at the company’s Alpharetta operation. The employee will read schematics, bills of materials and work instructions; assemble and fasten components with hand and power tools; verify dimensions with measuring instruments; inspect completed assemblies; and help control production supplies. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, assembly experience and the ability to interpret wire diagrams. Experience making wire harnesses or cable kits is preferred. The work can require lifting up to 35 pounds and takes place in a non-climate-controlled production setting. Siemens lists $20 an hour and a $1,000 sign-on bonus payable after 180 days, subject to taxes. Employer sponsorship is not available.
