Art-Swap Galleries Bring ARTober to Suwanee, Duluth and Peachtree Corners

Gwinnett’s ARTober returns with new Mini Art Galleries for art exchanges in Suwanee, Duluth, and Peachtree Corners, plus a sculpture garden in Norcross and a festival in Lawrenceville.

Gwinnett’s ARTober celebration is bringing art exchanges, a temporary sculpture garden and an evening festival to communities across the county this October.

Now in its 10th year, Explore Gwinnett’s monthlong program includes new Mini Art Galleries in Suwanee, Duluth and Peachtree Corners, an art installation in downtown Norcross and the return of Not Your Mother’s Art Fest in Lawrenceville.

Atlanta illustrator and designer Broly Su created this year’s festival artwork, drawing on his graffiti-inspired style. The evening invites visitors to watch artists at work and try creative activities themselves.

Take Art, Leave Art

Three new Mini Art Galleries invite visitors to take a small work of art, leave one of their own or donate supplies for the next creator.

The galleries are at Peachtree Corners Town Green, Suwanee Circle and Eye Candy Art Studio in downtown Duluth. Gwinnett artist Max Eve is decorating each gallery, making the containers part of the public art project.

The art exchanges remain on display through October 31.

A Bank Drive-Through Becomes an Art Garden

In downtown Norcross, “GROW HERE” transforms an abandoned bank teller drive-through in Skin Alley into an immersive garden of sculptural flowers, oversized grass forms and mirrors.

Artist Lisette Correa, also known as ARRRTADDICT, designed the installation. Created in partnership with Dashboard and the City of Norcross, GROW HERE runs through November 8.

Other ARTober activities offer opportunities to paint, dance, photograph and create alongside local artists. Find dates and locations in the ARTober calendar.

Keep it. Pass it on.
