Synchrony Opens New Alpharetta Hub for More Than 650 Local Employees
Synchrony moved more than 650 local employees to a new Alpharetta hub at Avalon. The office features spaces designed for hybrid work but doesn’t represent new local jobs. Hiring continues nationally with roles based in Alpharetta.

Major local stories and useful updates, once a week.
Synchrony’s new Avalon hub serves more than 650 existing employees in the Atlanta region who previously worked from an office on Windward Parkway in Alpharetta, the company confirmed to North Atlanta Star.
The financial services company celebrated the opening Thursday, October 8, with a ribbon-cutting attended by Mayor Jim Gilvin, company leaders and local employees.
In written answers following the opening, a Synchrony spokesperson clarified that the employee count represents teams already living and working in the region. The figure does not represent 650 newly created jobs.
“The local employees represent existing teams who live and work in the Atlanta region,” the spokesperson said.
A move within Alpharetta
The relocation brings those teams from Windward Parkway to Avalon, where the company says it designed its new workplace around hybrid work and collaboration.
The hub includes flexible workstations, conference rooms equipped for hybrid meetings, café areas, outdoor terrace workspaces, a mother’s room and space for training and development, according to Synchrony’s opening announcement.
Leonard Jennings, Synchrony’s senior vice president of loyalty and creative and Atlanta hub leader, said the office is intended to support employees and the company’s work in the community.
“This hub reflects our culture of trust and innovation and supports our teams today and in the future,” Jennings said.
Hiring includes Alpharetta positions
Asked about local hiring, the spokesperson said Synchrony averages 65 job openings a month across the United States, including positions based in Alpharetta.
The company did not provide a separate count of Alpharetta vacancies or a forecast for growth in the local team. The national figure should not be read as 65 openings at the new hub.
Job seekers can review current roles and location requirements through Synchrony’s careers site.
The company provides consumer financing, credit cards and banking products, working with retailers and other businesses, including health and wellness providers.
This article has been updated with Synchrony’s responses about existing employees, the previous office location and hiring.
