Siemens’ Alpharetta Rail Operation Is Hiring From $20 an Hour to $95,000 a Year

Siemens Mobility is recruiting production workers, technology specialists and college interns for its Alpharetta rail operation, creating several entry points into one of North Fulton’s less visible manufacturing centers.
A newly posted manufacturing IT and operational-technology specialist position pays $90,000 to $95,000 a year. The employee will develop automation and data tools, prepare SAP reports and troubleshoot systems connecting the factory floor with the company’s larger computer network.
Candidates need manufacturing knowledge and experience with SAP, data analysis, application development and IT-OT integration. Siemens is not offering employment sponsorship for the position.
Two production openings offer a more accessible route into the facility. A wire-center manufacturing technician and a first-shift assembly technician each pay $20 an hour. Both involve assembling rail components with hand and power tools while following drawings and work instructions.
At 40 hours a week, $20 an hour is equivalent to about $41,600 a year before taxes and overtime. Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, along with the ability to read technical drawings and perform detailed assembly work.
Siemens is also recruiting Alpharetta-area students for summer 2027. A financial analyst internship pays $24 to $28 an hour and runs 40 hours a week from June through August. It is intended for college students studying finance, accounting, economics, business or a related subject.
A test-engineering internship pays first-time interns $25 an hour and returning interns $30. The 10- to 12-week assignment is open to students pursuing mechanical, electrical or computer engineering and related degrees. Siemens requires applicants to live or attend school near Alpharetta. A separate project-management internship pays $24 an hour for first-time interns and $28 for returning interns.
These are active individual openings, not a company announcement promising a specific number of future jobs. Siemens has not published fixed application deadlines, so positions may close as candidates are selected.
The company’s 138,000-square-foot Alpharetta facility has operated for more than 30 years, producing motors, gears and other transportation systems. The current openings offer local workers a mix of factory, technology and early-career opportunities without requiring a commute into Atlanta.
