Drew Parker and Chuck Leavell to Headline Lanier Islands Songwriter Festival
Songwriters at the Lake runs Nov. 13–15 at Lanier Islands, with Friday and Saturday day passes and a three-day option that includes Sunday’s gospel performances.

Major local stories and useful updates, once a week.
Drew Parker and Chuck Leavell will headline separate nights at Lanier Islands Resort when the first Songwriters at the Lake Music Festival brings three days of performances to the Buford destination Nov. 13–15.
Organizers have opened single-day admission alongside the $129 all-shows pass. A $49 Friday wristband covers seven shows, including the Drew Parker Band at 6 p.m. A $69 Saturday wristband covers nine shows, including Chuck Leavell & Friends at 6 p.m. Both headline concerts will take place at Peachtree Pointe Amphitheater.
More than 20 songwriters are expected across eight venues, with performances built around both the music and the stories behind songs written for other artists. Songwriters ATL is producing the event.
Parker on Friday, Leavell on Saturday
Parker’s Friday concert will include an appearance by Joanna Cotten of the Eric Church Band. The Georgia musician has written songs for Luke Combs, including “Doin’ This” and “Forever After All.”

Leavell, whose career includes the Allman Brothers Band and the Rolling Stones, will lead Saturday’s concert with guests including Randall Bramblett, Jimmy Hall and Greg Barnhill.
The weekend will also include smaller performances around the resort, giving audiences opportunities to hear songwriters outside the two headline concerts.
