A Culinary Icon Returns: Taste of Atlanta Celebrates 25 Years

The Taste of Atlanta festival, a cornerstone of the local dining scene since 2001, is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary on April 16 at The Works, bringing together the chefs and restaurateurs who helped transform the city into a national culinary destination.

The milestone event, which runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., is designed as a “Culinary Icons Reunion.” Rather than just a standard tasting, the evening serves as a living retrospective of Atlanta’s food evolution. Attendees can expect to sample signature dishes from a heavy-hitting lineup of participants, including Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, Kyma, El Super Pan, Tiny Lou’s, and Bistro Niko. The list spans the gamut from longtime fine-dining staples like Pricci and Il Giallo to modern favorites like NFA Burger and DAS BBQ.

The celebration will be spread across the expansive indoor and outdoor spaces of The Works. Outside at the “Camp” area, Bogey and the Viceroy will provide a live soundtrack, while the interior spaces will feature a live DJ and a high-energy appearance by the Seed and Feed Marching Abominables. The all-inclusive nature of the ticket means guests have unlimited access to bites from over 20 restaurants alongside craft cocktails, wine, and beer tastings.

While the April 16 gala is the centerpiece of the year, the 25th-anniversary celebration is planned as a year-long tribute to the city’s flavors. The festival’s 2026 calendar includes three additional “Grand Tasting” events tailored to specific neighborhoods. Local food lovers can look forward to “Food That Rocks” in Sandy Springs on June 4, followed by dedicated Grand Tasting events in Alpharetta on August 27 and Midtown on October 15.

As the night winds down at the main anniversary event, the party will transition into an official after-party at Your 3rd Spot starting at 9 p.m., where ticket holders can enjoy complimentary access and games. It is a fitting conclusion for an event that has spent two and a half decades connecting the people of Atlanta with the chefs who feed them.
