Avalon Santa Photo Reservations Open Monday, Oct. 12

Families planning Santa photos at Avalon can book their visits starting Monday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m., when reservations open for the holiday season.

Santa will welcome visitors at his cottage in Palmer Plaza from Nov. 23 through Dec. 24. Appointments secure a visit; walk-ups will be accommodated only as time allows.

Photo packages start at $35

The basic package costs $35 and includes five digital photos. Packages with prints or Christmas cards cost $40, and a bundle combining digital images, prints and cards costs $45.

Pet visits and holiday hours

Pet portraits are offered Tuesdays from 5 to 7 p.m. on a walk-up basis. Santa’s cottage will be closed on Thanksgiving. Christmas Eve visits run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with walk-ups only.

The booking opening comes well ahead of Avalon’s holiday kickoff. The Lighting of Avalon is scheduled for Nov. 22, the day before Santa visits begin, and Avalon on Ice is scheduled to run from Nov. 22 through Jan. 18.
