Giulia Italian Bakery Opens in Downtown Alpharetta

Giulia Italian Bakery has opened its third location in downtown Alpharetta, adding fresh Italian breads, pastries, and coffee to the City Center area. The bakery is a new spot for breakfast and afternoon treats near the Town Green.

Giulia Italian Bakery has opened at Alpharetta City Center, adding fresh Italian breads, pastries and coffee to downtown’s growing collection of restaurants and specialty shops.

The bakery is at 24 South Main Street, a short walk from the Town Green. It is the third Giulia location, joining shops at The Forum in Peachtree Corners and The Avenue East Cobb in Marietta.

Brothers Ben and Seth Gjuka founded the business in 2020. At the new Alpharetta shop, work begins at 4 a.m., when bakers start preparing croissants, Italian bomboloni, baguettes, sourdough loaves and seasonal pastries.

Customers can also find focaccia, sandwiches, cakes and gelato, along with espresso, coffee, Italian beer and wine. Giulia makes its baked goods from scratch, using imported cheeses, cured meats and other Italian ingredients.

An open kitchen brings some of that work into view. Customers stopping in for coffee or a pastry can watch bakers at work rather than seeing only the finished goods in display cases.

For downtown Alpharetta, the addition means another breakfast and afternoon stop in an area that has drawn considerable attention for its dinner restaurants. A bakery with daily morning hours also gives people who work, shop or walk through City Center another reason to visit earlier in the day.

The opening follows other additions at Alpharetta City Center, including Amasa Mexican Kitchen, Grove and Barrel Provisions and Sandbox VR. Together, the businesses are expanding the mix of food, shopping and entertainment around the Town Green.

Giulia’s Alpharetta bakery is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The telephone number is 678-926-1025.

Keep it. Pass it on.
