The Bagel Hole Opens Fifth Location in North Forsyth on Aug. 31
The Bagel Hole is opening a new location on Browns Bridge Road in north Forsyth, expanding its local bagel and breakfast options. The franchised shop opens August 31, serving residents near Coal Mountain and Silver City with a familiar menu and early hours.

The Bagel Hole will open its fifth location Monday, Aug. 31, bringing the locally founded breakfast business to the growing Browns Bridge Road corridor in north Forsyth County.
Doors will open at 6:30 a.m. at 3560 Browns Bridge Road, Suite 300, in Coal Mountain Shops. The 1,400-square-foot restaurant is near the intersection of Browns Bridge and Hammond’s Crossing roads.
The opening gives residents around Coal Mountain, Silver City and northeastern Forsyth County a closer option for freshly prepared bagels, breakfast sandwiches and lunch without driving toward central Cumming or South Forsyth.
It also marks an important step for The Bagel Hole itself: the Browns Bridge restaurant is the company’s first franchised location.
Raegan and Elise Wexler are opening the shop after approaching founders Gary and Cathy Trentacosta about joining the business. Raegan Wexler previously said he was drawn to the food as well as the familiar, neighborhood atmosphere at the original restaurant.
The menu will remain consistent with the other Bagel Hole locations, offering varieties such as everything, sesame, cinnamon raisin, blueberry, pumpernickel, jalapeño cheddar and French toast.
Customers can build breakfast sandwiches with eggs, cheese and choices including bacon, sausage, ham and Taylor ham. The full menu also includes lox and cream cheese, flavored schmears, whitefish salad and lunch sandwiches made with chicken salad, tuna, pastrami or Boar’s Head turkey.
The Bagel Hole began in Cumming in June 2020, when Gary and Cathy Trentacosta opened their first shop on Peachtree Parkway during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gary Trentacosta brought more than three decades of experience in corporate kitchens and New Jersey roots to the business. What began as a single family-operated bagel shop has since expanded to Alpharetta, Dawsonville and Braselton, along with the original South Forsyth restaurant.
The Browns Bridge opening gives the company five locations in just over six years.
That growth follows the outward movement of Forsyth County’s population. Much of the county’s restaurant development has traditionally concentrated around Ga. 400, Peachtree Parkway and downtown Cumming, but new businesses are increasingly following housing growth north and east toward Coal Mountain, Keith Bridge Road and Browns Bridge Road.
For residents in that part of the county, a breakfast shop can fill a practical gap. The opening creates another early-morning stop close to neighborhoods and schools, while the lunch menu broadens its use beyond the morning commute.
The franchise model could also determine how far The Bagel Hole eventually grows beyond its original market. The company began promoting franchise opportunities after establishing its first restaurants, and the Browns Bridge shop will be the first test of whether its neighborhood formula can be reproduced by outside operators.
