Person of the Week — North Atlanta Star
Some of the most meaningful stories in a community are not always the loudest ones. They show up in classrooms, in small acts of service, in quiet leadership, and in the everyday work of people who care about where they live.
Each week, North Atlanta Star highlights one local person whose story reflects life across Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Milton, Duluth, Suwanee, and South Forsyth.
What We’re Looking For
We’re interested in people who contribute to the community in ways that feel real and grounded. That could be a teacher, a volunteer, a coach, a small organizer, a parent leading something meaningful, or simply someone whose story deserves to be told.
This is not about awards or titles. It’s about people who are part of the fabric of local life.
How It Works
We select one person each week to feature.
If selected, we’ll reach out either for a short conversation or send a few simple questions you can answer in writing—whichever feels more comfortable. From there, we’ll shape a brief profile to share with readers, keeping the tone simple, respectful, and focused on the person’s story.
Submit a Nomination
If someone comes to mind, you can share a few details below. It doesn’t need to be formal—just enough for us to understand who they are and why their story matters.
Thanks for sharing
We read every submission and appreciate you taking the time to share someone’s story.
