Roswell Resume Clinic Gives Job Seekers a Head Start on October Hiring Fair

North Fulton job seekers can get one-on-one help with their resumes Wednesday, Sept. 23, before meeting employers at a free Roswell job fair next month.

North Fulton Community Charities will hold the resume clinic from 3 to 5 p.m. at its Barbara Duffy Center, 11275 Elkins Road. Participants can get guidance on formatting, organization and presenting their experience. Childcare is available upon request.

The clinic leads into NFCC’s Oct. 6 job fair, sponsored by Wellstar, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the same location. The fair is open to all job seekers, including people entering the workforce or looking for a career change.

Registering by Sept. 30 brings a practical advantage: participants will receive a list of participating employers and preparation tips before the event. That gives applicants time to research companies and tailor their resumes. Advance registration is encouraged, but Sept. 30 is the cutoff for those advance materials, not an announced attendance deadline.

Applicants should bring copies of their resumes and wear professional attire. NFCC has not announced a total number of vacancies or event-wide pay ranges. Candidates will need to confirm job locations, qualifications, compensation and schedules with individual employers.

Support is also available beyond the clinic. NFCC’s Technology Lab opens to job seekers every Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m., with a volunteer available to help with cover letters, interview preparation and online applications.
