Taste Brookhaven Raises $9,030 for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta

The Oct. 1 fundraiser sold a record 222 tickets and brought together 15 restaurant partners to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Strong4Life program.

Taste Brookhaven raised $9,030.44 for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Strong4Life program, bringing 15 restaurant partners together for a sold-out evening at Brookhaven City Centre.

The Oct. 1 fundraiser sold 222 tickets, the highest total in its five-year history, organizer Explore Brookhaven said. Guests sampled food, cocktails and mocktails during the event, which also included live entertainment.

The money will support Strong4Life’s work with families across Georgia, including resources to help prevent childhood injuries and deaths.

“Brookhaven is home to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Arthur M. Blank Hospital, so it is especially meaningful to see our own community rally around our mission,” said Marc Welsh, Children’s vice president of community impact.

Strong4Life’s Beat the Big 4 initiative focuses on preventing deaths associated with unsafe sleep, drowning, car crashes and firearms.

The restaurant lineup ranged from Arnette’s Chop House and Fox Bros Bar-B-Q to Jerk’s Caribbean Grill, Petite Violette and Siren. EATaliano Kitchen and Valenza represented Italian cooking, while Chico Cantina brought Mexican street food.

The other participants were Galla’s Pizza & Tavern, HAVEN, Henri’s Bakery & Deli, Honey Suckle Gelato, Marlow’s Tavern, Summit Coffee and The Ashford on Dresden.

Tim Grow, executive director of Explore Brookhaven, credited restaurant partners, sponsors and ticket buyers for the turnout and donation.

The next Taste Brookhaven is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 7, 2027, at Brookhaven City Centre, 4001 Peachtree Road NE.

Keep it. Pass it on.
