Gourmet Café Toastique Plans Johns Creek Opening Near Newtown Park

A new health-focused café brand is preparing to enter the Johns Creek market this summer, adding another wellness-oriented concept to the growing Old Alabama Road corridor near Newtown Park.
Toastique, a Washington D.C.-based gourmet toast, smoothie, juice, and coffee café, announced plans to open a new location at 3005 Old Alabama Road in Johns Creek. The café will sit adjacent to Newtown Park, one of the city’s busiest recreation and community gathering areas.
The Johns Creek location is being opened by Steve and Randi Rubin, longtime local residents who say they were drawn to the concept’s focus on fresh ingredients and nutrition-forward meals. According to the announcement, the café’s menu will include gourmet toast combinations, smoothie bowls, cold-pressed juices, coffee drinks, and smoothies made without artificial additives.
The opening reflects a broader shift underway across North Fulton and South Forsyth, where wellness-centered cafés, boutique fitness concepts, smoothie bars, and healthier fast-casual dining options have expanded rapidly in recent years. Areas around Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Halcyon, Avalon, and the Medley district have increasingly attracted businesses targeting residents looking for lighter breakfast and lunch options tied to active suburban lifestyles.
The Rubin family said the Johns Creek store will also become part of the surrounding community through local partnerships and events. During the grand opening period, the café plans to unveil a mural created through a local artist contest open to Johns Creek and metro Atlanta residents.
Toastique was founded in Washington, D.C. in 2018 by entrepreneur Brianna Keefe and has since expanded nationally through franchising. The company now operates locations across multiple states, including Georgia, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, and Virginia.
The Johns Creek café is expected to operate daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. once it opens later this summer. The business also announced plans to offer discounts for military members and first responders.
For Johns Creek, the addition continues the steady transformation of the Old Alabama Road and Newtown area into a stronger lifestyle and wellness corridor — one increasingly shaped by fitness studios, walking trails, parks, modern cafés, and community-oriented gathering spaces.
