Major local stories and useful updates, once a week.
Drivers on Peachtree Parkway will encounter overnight lane closures beginning Wednesday, Sept. 30, as crews perform routine maintenance on the Peachtree Corners pedestrian bridge.
One lane in each direction of State Route 141 will close from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. during work above the roadway.
The schedule is:
Wednesday night, Sept. 30: One left lane closed in each direction.
Thursday night, Oct. 1: One right lane closed in each direction.
Friday night, Oct. 2, if needed: One right or left lane closed in each direction.
Roadway-related maintenance is scheduled to finish this week. Crews will shift to the bridge platforms next week, when lane closures are not expected.
Drivers should allow extra travel time, slow down near workers and follow traffic-control signs. Weather and construction conditions could change the schedule.
The city’s maintenance notice includes the planned closures.
