Whole Foods Moves Closer to Opening in South Forsyth
Whole Foods is moving closer to opening in South Forsyth with permits approved and active hiring for the new Forsyth Town Center location. The first Forsyth County store will serve nearby communities including Johns Creek and Suwanee.

Major local stories and useful updates, once a week.
Whole Foods Market has reached several late-stage milestones at Forsyth Town Center, including exterior-sign approvals and active hiring for its first Forsyth County store.
Forsyth County issued permits Sept. 24 for two Whole Foods wall signs, one above the north entrance and another on the building’s east side. The 35,500-square-foot grocery shell passed its final building inspection Aug. 14.
Those approvals cover the building shell rather than the entire grocery-store interior, and Whole Foods has not announced an opening date.
The store will anchor Forsyth Town Center at 3135 Ronald Reagan Boulevard, near Peachtree Parkway and directly across from The Collection at Forsyth.

Job listings for the Cumming store were active by Sept. 18, adding another sign that preparations have advanced beyond basic construction. Applicants can monitor openings through the Whole Foods careers portal.
The new location will become Forsyth County’s first Whole Foods. The nearest existing store is at Avalon in Alpharetta, roughly 10 miles south, making the South Forsyth opening especially relevant for residents along the Peachtree Parkway corridor and in nearby Johns Creek and Suwanee.
Other parts of Forsyth Town Center are also advancing. Chipotle and Panda Express have completed building permits and obtained county business licenses. LaserAway has signage in place, while Potbelly is building out a restaurant expected to open around November.

The latest construction and permit milestones indicate that Whole Foods is moving closer to completion, but an opening day, regular hours and grand-opening plans remain unannounced.
