The Providence Group has opened registration for Oakcrest, a new Duluth community of 71 townhomes offering spacious, low-maintenance living near key Gwinnett destinations. Pricing and move-in dates are pending.

Major local stories and useful updates, once a week.
The Providence Group has opened buyer registration for Oakcrest, a planned community of 71 townhomes near Sugarloaf Parkway and Old Peachtree Road.
The development is listed as coming soon at 7150 Sugarloaf Parkway. Pricing, a sales opening date and a construction timetable have not been announced.
Oakcrest will offer three home designs in two configurations. Three-story townhomes will have rear entrances and covered outdoor living areas, while two-story homes will pair front entrances with larger main living spaces and optional covered porches.
Plans also call for open-concept interiors and designer finishes, with private fenced outdoor areas available at many homes. The builder is positioning the community as low-maintenance housing with more indoor and outdoor space than a typical apartment or condominium.
The location places Oakcrest between several of western Gwinnett’s busiest destinations. It is about 1½ miles from Gas South Arena, 2.3 miles from downtown Duluth and 4½ miles from Suwanee Town Center. Interstate 85 is approximately 2¼ miles away.
Oakcrest will add another for-sale housing option along a corridor that provides access to Duluth, Suwanee, Johns Creek and Peachtree Corners. Its mix of two- and three-story plans may appeal to buyers seeking new construction without the upkeep associated with a detached house.
The assigned Gwinnett County public schools are Mason Elementary, Hull Middle and Peachtree Ridge High.
Prospective buyers can join the community’s VIP list for early floor plans, pricing and release information. The builder has not yet announced homeowners association fees, available home sites or an expected date for the first residents to move in.
