Bazaar International Brings Global Groceries and a Café to Buford
Bazaar International Market & Café opens near Mall of Georgia, bringing global groceries and a café to Buford. The market features food from many cultures and offers shoppers a unique, welcoming experience.

Major local stories and useful updates, once a week.
A new Buford market is bringing ingredients from several continents together under one roof—and marking its arrival with an all-day celebration Saturday.
Bazaar International Market & Café will hold its grand opening August 8 at 1640 Buford Highway NE, near the Mall of Georgia. Festivities begin at 10 a.m., followed by an official ribbon cutting with the Buford Business Alliance at 2 p.m.
The family-owned market occupies approximately 8,000 square feet and carries foods associated with Indian, Nepalese, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Middle Eastern, Hispanic, African, European and other Asian cuisines. Shoppers will find fresh produce, halal meat, frozen foods, spices, sweets, snacks and specialty ingredients that can otherwise require stops at several smaller markets.
The café gives the business another purpose beyond grocery shopping. Its menu includes coffee, authentic chai, juices, smoothies, gyros and light prepared meals, creating a place for customers to eat or pause during a shopping trip.
Owner Prabesh Pandey developed the market to give North Gwinnett residents easier access to international ingredients without traveling farther across metro Atlanta. The location also places Bazaar International within reach of Sugar Hill, Suwanee and South Buford, an area becoming steadily more diverse but still served largely by conventional supermarkets.
An Opening Day Built Around Food
Saturday’s celebration will include free samples, giveaways, café specials and food trucks. Mamacita’s Latin Kitchen is expected to serve pupusas, tacos, yuca and aguas frescas, while family activities include complimentary cotton candy, face painting and henna art.
Bazaar International is also advertising discounts of up to 15 percent on complete shopping baskets during the event. The celebration is scheduled to continue until 5 p.m., although the market’s regular hours extend later.
The store has been operating through a soft-opening period, making Saturday less of a first day than a formal introduction to the community. Its arrival adds another independent international grocer to the Buford Highway and Mall of Georgia area while combining the specialty-market format with a neighborhood café.
Bazaar International Market & Café is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. More information is available through the market’s official website and the Buford Business Alliance grand-opening listing.
