North Atlanta job seekers can meet recruiters at two Alpharetta hiring events Tuesday, Sept. 22, with opportunities ranging from telecommunications construction to full- and part-time retail sales.
The Sept. 22 recruiting events offer options for experienced workers and applicants seeking training, though the positions differ considerably in physical demands, travel and compensation.
Dycom recruits for field crews
Dycom Industries will recruit from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Alpharetta Marriott, 5750 Windward Parkway. Its operating companies are seeking equipment operators, fiber splicers, telecommunications linemen, utility locators, quality-control technicians and supervisors.
The event announcement welcomes applicants with construction, utility or transportation experience, as well as people without industry experience. General requirements include being at least 18, holding a valid driver’s license and having a safe driving record. Some positions require a commercial license, travel and physically demanding outdoor work.
Alpharetta is the interview location; applicants should confirm each position’s actual assignment. Dycom operates nationally and is offering unspecified signing bonuses for some candidates willing to relocate.

The sales-associate opening advertises $13 to $17.50 an hour plus commission, with full- and part-time schedules available. Applicants must be at least 18 and have reliable transportation. Experience is preferred, but training is available.
