Fulton County Schools is recruiting teachers for campuses in Roswell, Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, Milton and Johns Creek through two November virtual open houses. Applicants can pursue current school-year vacancies, including an English position at Centennial High and a part-time gifted-teaching role at Barnwell Elementary.
The Sandy Springs and Roswell session is Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. A separate Alpharetta, Milton and Johns Creek open house follows Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the same time. Both sessions use Eastern time. The district asks candidates to submit an application before attending.
Pay and current openings
For applicants weighing a move into teaching, Fulton’s 2026–27 regular-teacher salary schedule starts at $60,506 annually at the bachelor’s certificate level and $66,514 at the master’s level. Those figures cover a 190-day work year at the first salary step. They are full-year schedule amounts, not pay quotes for the part-time opening.
The English vacancy at Centennial High, in Roswell, requires a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university and a valid Georgia teaching certificate in the applicable field, or eligibility to hold one. The part-time TAG position at Barnwell Elementary, in Johns Creek, carries the same education and certification requirements. Both remained open for applications on Oct. 28.
How to apply
Candidates who are changing careers can begin an application without already holding a teaching certificate. Fulton asks non-certified applicants to upload transcripts and test scores so staff can assess an alternative certification pathway. That review does not waive a position’s certification requirements. Teachers certified outside Georgia should upload their existing certificate and apply to the Georgia Professional Standards Commission; Georgia-certified teachers should include their certificate number.
Applicants can create a profile and review vacancies through Fulton’s teacher application portal. Current district employees, including substitutes, should use Employee Login when applying.
