Capital Group Has 70 Openings as Charlotte Hub Begins With 30 Employees

Capital Group is actively hiring as it builds its new Charlotte hub, currently hosting 30 employees and planning growth to 500-700 staff. Open roles span technology, finance, and support functions. The company is also supporting local nonprofits through a financial education grant program.

Capital Group has 70 current job openings as it builds its new Charlotte operations hub, with opportunities ranging from entry-level positions to experienced roles in technology, human resources and investment operations.

Thirty employees are currently based in Charlotte through a combination of local hiring and relocations, a Capital Group spokesperson told North Atlanta Star. Approximately 100 more employees are expected to relocate over the coming months.

The figures offer a clearer picture of the investment firm’s early presence following the Sept. 29 opening celebration for its East Coast Operations Hub.

Hiring extends beyond finance

Although Capital Group is an investment management company, many Charlotte positions will involve work outside traditional financial services.

The company identified software engineering, artificial intelligence, data and analytics, cloud platforms and information security among its hiring areas. It also plans capabilities in trade operations, fund accounting and tax, alongside legal, compliance, human resources and business transformation.

“Roles span entry-level to experienced hires across functional areas,” the spokesperson said.

Applicants can search the company’s current vacancies and filter for Charlotte. Requirements vary by position.

Growth will happen over time

Asked when the office would reach the previously announced 600 jobs, Capital Group did not give a fixed date.

“Our timeline will be driven by the needs of our business and our clients,” the spokesperson said.

The company’s opening announcement describes an eventual Charlotte workforce of approximately 500 to 700 employees. Those longer-term plans are separate from the 30 people currently based there and the 70 openings available now.

The Charlotte office will work alongside Capital Group’s West Coast operations hub in Irvine, California, supporting technology, operations and other business functions.

The company said Charlotte’s appeal included talent across financial services, technology and data, along with connections to other markets and support from local partners.

A grant program for Charlotte nonprofits

Capital Group is also launching a Charlotte cohort of its Community Wealth Council, a program for nonprofit leaders working to expand financial education.

Selected nonprofits receive $50,000 in grant funding and participate in a 10-month program that includes mentorship, workshops and collaborative projects.

Applications are expected to open in January 2027. Organizations can express interest now.

Keep it. Pass it on.
