Bring Five Cans to Lanier Islands’ Holiday Lights and Receive Two $10 Discounts

Lanier Islands invites holiday lights visitors to donate canned goods for discounts at the park’s food and ticket venues. Donations support North Georgia food pantries through the Georgia Mountain Food Bank.

Visitors heading to Lanier Islands for holiday lights can bring five or more canned goods to help stock North Georgia food pantries and receive discounts on two other parts of their outing.

The resort’s Give Back Nights food drive will run November 20–30, beginning on opening night of Magical Nights of Lights. Donations collected at the front gate will benefit Georgia Mountain Food Bank.

Donors will receive a voucher with $10 off food and nonalcoholic beverages at Game Changer and $10 off an admission ticket to Margaritaville at Lanier Islands’ License to Chill Snow Island.

The $20 value is split between those two offers. It does not reduce the price of admission to the drive-through light show.

Food donations will go to North Georgia communities

Georgia Mountain Food Bank will distribute the donated cans through its network of 60 agency partners across five North Georgia counties, the resort said.

The holiday collection builds on an existing partnership between the resort and the food bank. Lanier Islands recently received the nonprofit’s Jim Walters Corporate Partner of the Year award at its Empty Bowl Luncheon.

The resort says its fundraising efforts have helped provide more than 100,000 meals. Those efforts have included the Concerts for a Cause series, the GREENS FOR GOOD golf tournament and Dashing Through the Glow with Big Peach of Braselton.

Phil Dennis, the food bank’s development director, credited the resort with supporting the organization’s work to provide “food, hope, and stability to our neighbors in need.”

The lights continue after the food drive ends

Magical Nights of Lights will operate nightly from 5 to 10 p.m., November 20 through January 3, 2027. The drive-through attraction will have an expanded collection of lights and animated displays this season.

The food-drive offer ends November 30, so visitors planning a December trip will be outside the donation promotion’s dates.

Game Changer will also house the resort’s Holiday Headquarters, including Clark’s Holiday Pop-up Bar. The voucher’s dining discount excludes alcoholic beverages.

Lanier Islands is at 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway in Buford. Visitors can find the Give Back Nights details here and use the Magical Nights of Lights page for ticket options and planning their visit.

Keep it. Pass it on.
