Tre Fratelli Brings Italian Comfort Food to the Heart of Downtown Alpharetta
Tre Fratelli, a new Italian restaurant in downtown Alpharetta, offers classic comfort dishes in a welcoming setting. The menu features favorites like chicken Parmesan alongside an extensive Italian wine list.

Major local stories and useful updates, once a week.
Downtown Alpharetta has another new dinner option, this time in one of the most visible corners of the historic district.
Tre Fratelli is now open at 3 South Main Street, at the intersection of Main and Academy streets. The restaurant specializes in Italian comfort food and is led by chef David Soon and partner Marcus Bifaro, a familiar name in Alpharetta dining from his years with South Main Kitchen.
The restaurant occupies a space with its own history in downtown Alpharetta. It most recently housed Academy Bar and was previously associated with Butcher & Brew and South Main Kitchen, placing Tre Fratelli directly in the middle of the city’s busiest restaurant and nightlife district.

Tre Fratelli is aiming for something intentionally straightforward: a neighborhood Italian restaurant rather than a special-occasion dining room.
The menu leans into recognizable favorites such as chicken Parmesan, penne vodka and short-rib ragù, along with ricotta dumplings and other dishes that give the kitchen room to move beyond the standard red-sauce playbook.
The drinks follow the same relaxed approach. Aperol, limoncello, Hugo and Venetian spritzes are priced at $12, while cocktails include a blonde Negroni, espresso martini and Amaro sour. The wine list ranges across Italy, with selections from Tuscany, Piedmont, Veneto, Lombardy and Abruzzo alongside several American bottles.
That combination fits particularly well in downtown Alpharetta, where dinner increasingly operates as part of a larger evening rather than the entire destination.
Tre Fratelli sits steps from the Town Green, Brooke Street Park and Alpharetta City Center, making it easy to combine dinner with a concert, market or walk through downtown. It also joins a restaurant scene that has added several notable newcomers this year and still has more on the way.
The opening is part of an especially busy stretch for Italian dining in Alpharetta. Fiorenza recently opened on Webb Bridge Way with a Tuscan focus, while Tre Fratelli is taking the more familiar neighborhood route downtown.
For Bifaro, the location also marks a return to familiar territory. His earlier South Main Kitchen helped establish downtown Alpharetta as a dining destination during an earlier stage of the district’s transformation. Tre Fratelli puts him back almost exactly where that growth has become most visible.
Tre Fratelli currently serves dinner Monday through Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. Reservations are available, and the restaurant is already drawing enough interest to appear frequently among the more-booked Alpharetta restaurants on OpenTable.
