Cavender’s Sets Saturday Grand Opening in Alpharetta

Cavender’s Boot City is opening a new Western-wear store in Alpharetta’s North Point area. The grand opening Saturday features a ribbon cutting and discounts for shoppers.

Cavender’s Boot City will hold its Alpharetta grand opening Saturday, Oct. 24, introducing a 21,150-square-foot Western-wear store in the North Point retail district.

The store is at 7011 North Point Parkway, in the former Party City space. The grand-opening celebration will include an 11 a.m. ribbon-cutting, discounts and offers tied to the company’s loyalty program.

The store carries cowboy boots, hats, jeans, shirts, dresses, belts and other Western apparel for adults and children. Its inventory also includes work boots and workwear, combining fashion-oriented merchandise with clothing and footwear intended for farms, construction sites and other demanding jobs.

Shoppers can use in-store boot fitting, boot stretching and hat-shaping services. Merchandise includes national brands and Cavender’s own Rockin’ C, Rafter C and JRC & Sons labels.

The Alpharetta opening gives North Fulton a large specialty outfitter in a corridor dominated by conventional clothing, furniture and sporting-goods stores. Cavender’s also operates nearby Georgia locations in Buford and Lawrenceville.

The family-owned Texas retailer traces its history to 1965, when James and Patricia Cavender began selling a small selection of cowboy boots. The company has since expanded into a national chain while retaining its focus on Western and work apparel.

Regular hours at the Alpharetta store are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Keep it. Pass it on.
