David Weekley Plans 46-Home Heritage Oaks Community in Cumming

David Weekley Homes plans a gated community called Heritage Oaks with 46 homes in Cumming, Forsyth County. The development offers wooded lots and energy-efficient designs with a winter 2026 launch planned.

David Weekley Homes plans to build 46 homes in Heritage Oaks, a gated neighborhood near Spot Road in the Cumming area, with a projected launch this winter.

The community will be the builder’s third in Forsyth County, following Settingdown Farms and Meadow Brook Farms. Homes will occupy 100-foot-wide lots in a wooded setting with wetland trails.

Homes are planned along Greenway Bend, a curving street ending in a cul-de-sac, with the neighborhood entrance opposite Spot Road. Streams and green space separate portions of the neighborhood.

“We are excited to add a new community to our portfolio in Cumming,” said Adam Cornett, David Weekley Homes’ Atlanta division president.

The builder is promoting energy-efficient homes and access to outdoor recreation as central features of the community. Its projected winter 2026 launch remains a target; a specific opening date has not been announced.

Heritage Oaks is planned for the Sawnee Elementary, Otwell Middle and Forsyth Central High school attendance areas. Families should confirm school assignments with Forsyth County Schools before buying.

Prospective buyers can join the Heritage Oaks interest list for updates on floor plans, available lots and community events, or contact the builder’s new-home adviser at 404-789-3033.

Keep it. Pass it on.
