BUFORD, Ga. — Lanier Islands will hold two Dashing Through the Glow 5K events on Sunday, November 15, giving participants an early look at the resort’s Magical Nights of Lights display before its public opening on November 20.
The first race starts at 6:15 a.m. and the second at 5:45 p.m. Organizers added the second time after last year’s event sold out quickly. Walkers are welcome, and proceeds benefit the Georgia Mountain Food Bank.
Participants will receive a commemorative crew-neck sweatshirt, with an optional hoodie upgrade, and a glow-in-the-dark finisher medal.
Race packets can be collected November 11–14 at Big Peach Running Co.–Braselton, 7419 Spout Springs Road, Suite 103, Flowery Branch.
