CUMMING, Ga. — Cumming City Center is preparing to add a new kind of entertainment option as The Back Nine Golf moves toward opening its indoor golf simulator venue at 451 Vision Drive.
The new Cumming location is being promoted as an opening-soon facility built around private simulator bays, year-round play and flexible access for golfers who want to practice, compete or simply play a casual round without worrying about weather, daylight or crowded tee sheets.
The concept fits neatly into Cumming City Center’s larger evolution as a walkable dining and entertainment district. The center already draws visitors for restaurants, breweries, concerts, lawn events and weekend outings. The Back Nine adds another layer to that mix, giving the area an indoor activity that can work for date nights, corporate events, families, serious golfers and beginners.
How It Works
The Back Nine Golf is built around Full Swing simulator technology, allowing players to use private bays to practice or play virtual rounds on well-known courses. The Cumming location is advertising access to famous layouts such as Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill, Torrey Pines, Spanish Bay, TPC Sawgrass and multiple St. Andrews courses.
For experienced golfers, the draw is data. The simulators are designed to provide real-time feedback on swing, ball speed, launch angle and other performance details. That gives players a way to work on their game in a controlled setting, especially during bad weather or outside normal daylight hours.
For casual visitors, the appeal is simpler. It is golf without the pressure of a full course, a four-hour round or perfect skill. The company says membership will not be required to book a tee time, though memberships will offer preferred access and other perks.
The Back Nine is also positioning the Cumming location as a social venue. The concept includes options for events, birthday gatherings, business outings and group play. Families are part of the pitch as well, with simulator games intended for younger players who may not be ready for a traditional course but can still enjoy golf-themed challenges.
