If you live in zip code 30041, especially south of Highway 20 or near the Sharon Forks Library, Lambert High, or Windermere Parkway, you’re in a dense, suburban, unincorporated area—not “downtown Cumming.” But you’ll still write “Cumming, GA 30041” on every envelope.

Some locals prefer to say they live in South Forsyth, Sharon Springs, or even Metro Atlanta, especially when talking to out-of-town friends.

A County That Feels Like a City

With its fast growth, modern schools, and suburban feel, Forsyth County increasingly functions like a city—even if most of it technically isn’t one. And with the recent creation of Sharon Springs as a “community name”, there’s even talk of future incorporation down the road.
