Thai Candle Will Bring Northern Thai Seafood and an Upscale Bar to The Forum
Thai Candle Seafood & Bar is expanding to The Forum in Peachtree Corners with a Northern Thai menu emphasizing seafood, khao soi, and cocktails. This will be the restaurant’s second North Atlanta location, offering an upscale dining experience in a new setting.

Thai Candle Seafood & Bar is expanding to Peachtree Corners, adding a Northern Thai restaurant to the growing dining collection at The Forum.
The restaurant will open at 5155 Peachtree Parkway, Suite 320. A specific opening date has not been announced, but The Forum has begun introducing the project as one of its coming additions.
Thai Candle’s menu will emphasize the cooking of northern Thailand, with dishes prepared by a chef from the region. Early previews point to khao soi, drunken noodles, curries and seafood, accompanied by a full bar serving wine and cocktails.
Khao soi is among the dishes that could distinguish the restaurant from more familiar suburban Thai menus. Closely associated with northern Thailand, it combines noodles and curry in a rich broth commonly finished with crisp noodles, lime, pickled vegetables and other contrasting garnishes.
The new restaurant will be Thai Candle’s second North Atlanta location. Its original Thai Candle Seafood & Bar operates beside The Hotel at Avalon in Alpharetta, where it has positioned itself as a polished lunch-and-dinner destination rather than a quick-service restaurant.
That upscale approach will carry into Peachtree Corners. The coming Forum location is planned around fresh seafood, traditional Thai flavors and an elegant dining room suitable for celebrations, business meals and evening drinks.
The opening continues an unusually international stretch of restaurant growth at The Forum.
Golestan recently brought Persian cooking to the former California Pizza Kitchen space, while Nando’s serves South African-style flame-grilled chicken. Politan Row’s vendors span Korean fried chicken, Creole food, Mexican dishes, burgers and other cuisines, and Sei Ryu offers Japanese dining and omakase service.
Thai Candle will add another regionally specific kitchen to that mix. Although Thai restaurants are well established across North Atlanta, menus often draw broadly from dishes popular throughout the country. Thai Candle’s focus on northern cooking offers an opportunity to introduce customers to flavors and preparations that receive less attention.
The restaurant will also broaden the connection between two of North Atlanta’s leading mixed-use destinations.
Avalon and The Forum serve different parts of the region, but both have increasingly built their identities around restaurants, public gathering areas and recurring events as much as conventional shopping. Expanding from one center to the other gives Thai Candle access to customers in Peachtree Corners, Duluth, Johns Creek and Norcross while keeping its Alpharetta restaurant.
The Forum has spent the past several years reworking its tenant mix and physical layout. New gathering spaces, patios and food businesses have made dining a larger part of the property’s appeal, particularly during evenings and community events.
Thai Candle fits that direction more naturally than another daytime retailer. Its seafood menu, cocktails and formal atmosphere are designed to keep customers at the center for a full meal rather than a brief shopping stop.
The restaurant has not yet released its Peachtree Corners menu, operating hours or reservation schedule. Until those details are announced, customers can look to the Alpharetta location for a sense of its style, though individual dishes and policies may differ at The Forum.
