A restaurant that began as a South Florida food truck is preparing to open its second Georgia location at The Collection at Forsyth.
Talkin’ Tacos is targeting a November 2026 opening at the outdoor shopping and dining center on Peachtree Parkway. The South Forsyth restaurant will follow the company’s first Georgia location in Buckhead and mark its first move into Atlanta’s northern suburbs.
The concept built its following around birria, the slow-cooked Mexican meat dish that has become one of the country’s most recognizable street-food trends. Its signature tacos arrive in crisp, cheese-coated tortillas with onions, cilantro and a cup of consommé for dipping.

The broader menu includes burritos, quesadillas, rice bowls, grilled-cheese sandwiches filled with birria, shrimp tacos, churros and several specialty drinks.
Talkin’ Tacos pairs that menu with a louder, more contemporary setting than the traditional fast-casual taqueria. Existing restaurants use neon lighting, vivid murals and late-night hours to create an atmosphere that shifts easily from lunch stop to evening gathering place. The Buckhead location currently stays open until 2 a.m. most nights and as late as 4 a.m. several nights a week.
Whether the Cumming restaurant will keep similarly late hours has not been announced.
The opening will add another distinctly modern Mexican concept to a South Forsyth dining scene already crowded with traditional taquerias, full-service restaurants and national fast-casual brands. Talkin’ Tacos will enter that market with a narrower identity centered on birria, oversized specialty dishes and food designed as much for social media as for the table.

It also brings fresh activity to The Collection at Forsyth, the large outdoor lifestyle center at Peachtree Parkway and Ronald Reagan Boulevard. The property combines restaurants, national retailers, specialty stores and a movie theater, making it one of South Forsyth’s primary shopping and entertainment destinations.
For The Collection, the restaurant arrives as the center continues refreshing its dining mix and working to strengthen its role as more than a daytime shopping destination. A concept with an energetic dining room and potential late-night appeal could help extend activity into the evening, particularly among teenagers, young adults and families looking for a casual meal before or after a movie.
Talkin’ Tacos began in 2020 as a food truck launched by friends Mohammad Farraj, Omar Al-Massalkhi, Kareem Hotait and Musa Jebril. It has since expanded through Florida and into markets including Atlanta, New York, North Carolina and Texas. The company has shifted its growth strategy toward corporate-owned restaurants as it builds a wider national footprint.

The South Forsyth location is planned near 500 Peachtree Parkway, within The Collection district. A specific grand-opening date and operating hours are expected closer to November.
